A design challenge to reimagine the way we live with modular homes.
Adaptable Structures is proud to announce the launch of the Interior Design competition to address interior design needs for a modular home, suitable for two categories – 1. Multi–Use and 2. First Home.
This competition invites architects, designers, students, hobbyists, and creative individuals all over the globe to develop innovative solutions for our modular structure.
The “ADAPTABLE STRUCTURES” modular construction system “Place” allow homes to be adjusted and re-arranged according to the changing needs of the user/owner. The same logic applies to the interiors of the structure, thus this competition. The flexibility of the frames allows for variability in the use of space to suit the home to the needs of the user at any time.
The idea is to create interior spaces that are functional for 15sqm utilizing form altering interior fitouts that can be exchanged, adapted, or onsold so that the materials remain in the circular economy of the Place building system. This minimizes the liability of ownership and increases the utility delta of the Place system.
The competition invites anyone located locally or internationally to commit ideas to address the interior design needs for two distinct categories of modular homes. This competition asks applicants to consider creativity and innovation to produce a design that represents their best interpretation of the design brief.
